I believe your future self is waiting for you to catch up.
And she doesn't want you to hustle your way there. She wants you to build the systems that allow you to arrive with grace, energy, and purpose.
My journey wasn't a straight line.
For years, I did what many Gen X women do: I focused on everyone else. I built businesses, managed a career, and navigated the complexities of family life. But eventually, I hit a wall. I realized that I was rising to the level of my goals but falling to the level of my systems—and my systems were exhausted.
I've reinvented myself multiple times. I've gone from being a corporate strategist to an author, and from an entrepreneur to the founder of 100 Humanitarians International. Through it all, I discovered a fundamental truth: **What gets tracked gets transformed. What gets systemized can scale.**
"We do not rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems."
— James Clear
I realized that we do not rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems. That revelation changed everything.

From leaving the corporate world to building global impact—one aligned step at a time.

Turning 40 and leaving the corporate world for entrepreneurship — 2012

That same year, I began homeschooling my kids while building Heidi Totten Consulting. We homeschooled for 5 years.

I spent two years attending business retreats and getting intensive coaching in every aspect of entrepreneurship.

I made incredible friends who inspired me to dream bigger and expand my comfort zone

I met New York Times Best-Selling Authors - The Witness Wore Red by Rebecca Musser and Bridget Cook-Burch

Lori Walker and I started our first business together where we taught workshops on how to manifest your ideal life.

I attended a writer's retreat and was inspired by Jason Hewlett to write my first book - Homeschool on Fire

On my 43rd birthday I hit #1 Best-Seller in Homeschool for Hot New Releases — March 3, 2015

Two days later I left for my first trip to Kenya.

My life changed forever after that trip. I received my Maasai name — Nemparnat

Christine is the first Kenyan I ever hugged when I got off the plane.

I went back to Kenya in the fall of 2015 to have the conversations that would lead to bringing expedition teams to Kenya.

I continued building Heidi Totten Consulting while exploring my options to start a non-profit to help families in Kenya

We raised money to send Christine to Uganda to be trained in making reusable feminine hygiene kits

I started speaking at more events like eWomen Network - Salt Lake City

I met Mari Smith at the eWomen Network Conference - one of my favorite Social Media trainers - and joined her Inner Circle

I officially founded 100 Humanitarians International with a goal to help Kenyan families

I hosted the first fundraiser for 100 Humanitarians in my backyard - A Taste of Kenya

My daughter and me on our first trip together in Kenya — 2016
